Evans Kart Ad

The Evans karts (Flyweight and Special) had just about the most seat forward profile around. Note the relatively vertical steering columns. This seat forward profile seems to have been more prevalent among midwest manufacturers of the time. (The Blackhawk Chief is another forward profile example.) The midwest did not have a monopoly on this configuration though...check out the California-made Cutlass kart.
